Breja: I care in the sense that at this point I don't think it'sat all certain if it will be possible to entirely ignore the multiplayer aspect of the game since we know basically nothing about it (and neither does CDPRed apparently :P)
Even in games like Mass Effect 3 where they tried to force people to play multiplayer in order to sell their microtransactions, or Dark Souls where the multiplayer is integrated with the singleplayer part, I managed to ignore the multiplayer aspect of the game. So I'd be very surprised if CD Projekt managed to find a way to force me to use it.

Breja: I think they got carried away riding the wave of the Witcher 3 hype. I wouldn't be surprised if they themselves regrett that premature announcement now.
Sure, it was understandable at the time.
But what I find weird is that developers apparently keep repeating mistakes that ruined several games, like feature creep (which is what seems to be happening to Cyberpunk) or overhyping games, which can only lead to disappointment come release day (Peter Molyneux being the undisputed king of that particular blunder). You would think they'd try and learn from other developers' mistakes, but no...
Cyberpunk 2077 Will Be An Immense, Story-Driven Single-Player RPG; But Multiplayer Not Ruled Out

THANK F**K! but p!ss multiplayer off though Oh so sick to death of Multiplayer games Or make Multiplayer DLC because I'm telling you guys I HATE multiplayer It's Garbage Annoying Cheaters ruin it for everyone!

I guess it's time for Witcher Kart.

Vythonaut: So, it could be a racing game for all we know. :P
Yay,more racing games on GOG confirmed.GOG needs more racing games anyway ;).Cheers
Damn. Not knowing anything about those Battle Royale games I checked up on what the hell it is... and I'm not surprised CDPR could be considering it (though how it would fit with a the whole single player RPG part I've no freaking clue.

But apparently the biggest BR game around, a free-to-play thing called Fortnite made 126 million last month. Yes, 126 million $ within one month on cosmetic microtransactions alone. I truly do not understand gaming at all any more.

I don't care if they decide to add a mode of this type, as long as we get a proper, thrilling and fulfilling single player experience where everything is achieved by playing the bloody game.

If they decide to create a multiplayer component with Pay to Win, or Pay to Play, I really don't... but don't dare to touch my single player with those abnormalities!!!

At least cosmetic microtransactions are better than pay-to-win stuff.
But, yes, nowadays people are buying digital hats like crazy it seems. I don't understand this craze either, but then I don't play multiplayer games that much.

This.
Though I believe they will focus on the singleplayer RPG aspect. After all that is what CDPR is known for.
And also the market for these multiplayer games so much saturated nowadays that there is no surity of long-term success for such a game, I think.

I don't really care what kind of MP they decide to tag onto the game as long as I don't have to use it and I'm not constantly reminded of its existence.
If at any point I loose something from the SP-experience because of it though, they won't see me spending a single Cent on the game.
Cyberpunk 2077 could be a Battle Royale game!

Well, I sure hope not!

thraxman: The turn battle royale is taken from a japanese novel called Battle Royale. Its about a bunch of teenagers issued random weapons, droped on some island, and forced to hunt and kill each other in an ever decreasing area. Last one alive goes home.
The book didn't originate the term as far as I'm aware, but yes it's an "everyone for themselves, last one standing wins" fight.

BTW, and I'm sure everyone knows this, but that book is also a movie .

Indeed! Although I was working on the assumption the book came earlier. I haven read it or seen the movie, probably should do one at least.

IIRC, it was a book first, then a manga and then a movie. I only read the manga, it's actually pretty interesting if you don't mind it having lots of seemingly random violence and blood.
Very tired of MP-only gamers who constantly spam every reddit, forum... dedicated to SP games to force developers to add MP into their games even if it doesn't fit. The irony is that the vast majority of them won't even play the game, and most of those who will play it, will stop playing it only 6 months after release.

I litteraly consider them as spam-bots, and am a bit sad to see developers still trying to consider them seriously.
I assume any game going forward from now on will have some online components to benefit from/give a reason to use Galaxy. The question is probably more where the balance will be.
