gog2002x: I may be wrong here but IIRC, every business in the real world has a right to refuse service. In this case GOG I think does reserve the right to refuse releasing a game here.
They have that right to refuse service, and imo people have the right to complain about it(albeit preferably in a civil mature fashion).
gog2002x: Wether we like it or not, they made a business decision. Maybe their PR could use some work, but I don't understand this vilification of GOG. They didn't deserve that.
It's more a criticism of GOG than a vilification.
(at least for a good number of those posting things critical of GOG's latest decision)
Also to some, it is well deserved.
Others are free to disagree, though...but they should do so without resorting to things like name calling and etc.
gog2002x: Freedom of expression and right to voice your oppinion are very important rights that belong to every human being. But using common sense and common decency when communicating these oppinions are just as important. We've come a long way from the savage beings of our past, let us not regress.
I agree....people on both sides should try to remain civil when expressing criticism of other people's stances and/or GOG's decision.
gog2002x: There are many places to express political jokes, inside a game was probably not the most wisest choice.
Games, films, other media all push such things(jokes and more) all the time over the last decade or so. GOG even sells a few games that profit from current events(like the covid sim).
gog2002x: Just for the record, I don't personally dislike anyone here. What I do dislike is conversations that can't maintain some common decency and civility. I'd like to think we all have a hero inside ourselves.
Well said. Both sides have users that could be handling themselves a bit better.
