Nothing against the game itself, but is there a reason why Disco Elysium has been on the home page's flash loop for what seems like a zillion days? Ok, the release thread happened on October 15, but still. I don't think I've ever seen a non-CD Projekt Red game get the red carpet treatment for a month. Did the devs pay extra $$$ to GOG for that or something?

Yep! Yesterday, I went out looking for a nice place to have a drink. Well, I ended up in Poland where I encountered a GOG employee. He was telling me how they were all having a good laugh at that leaguehq guy.
Perhaps it's just selling so well that they keep it on the front page to maintain exposure. Disco Elysium consistently appears in the bestselling games list: https://www.gog.com/games?sort=popularity&page=1

(Or maybe its appearing in the bestselling list is a result of staying in the front page. Hard to tell if it's consequence or cause).

Diablo and Warcraft were also kept there for very long after their releases. Actually, I think Diablo took the Thronebreaker "permanent" spot.

Was this, by any chance, after having already had a wee bit to drink? :P

Good question! And how did I travel 700 miles on foot without alien abduction? Someone should make it the subject of a game...

I'll echo similarly what ConsulCaesar said: the game is a new hit on GOG and they want to keep the $$$ momentum going by keeping it on the front page.
