Yo need place the map in your DK2 folder and load it via command line by editing the DK2 shortcut on your desktop adding: -q -level mapname.

Edit:
You can take a look at the game's specific forum: https://www.gog.com/forum/dungeon_keeper_series#1612005857

Ste_Mills: ...
sorry I can't help, but the Dungeon Keeper forum is relatively active (compared to other game forums on GOG). You could try asking there or searching old threads. gog.com/forum -> search bottom left bar "Game specific forums"

Otherwise maybe Reddit or using a search engine for the issue can help
OK, what map are you trying to play? Is it a custopm map, a skirmish or a campaign?

For citadel:

put thumbnails in your Dungeon Keeper 2\Data\editor\maps\Thumbnails
Put the other files in Dungeon Keeper 2\Data\editor\maps\

Load the game select Skirmish, Change Map and you should find iot in the list.
Select it and play.

Which are the other maps?

Edit: Citadel is a Multiplayer map however.

There isn't a way I can do it for you but if you just follow the instructions you are going to be just fine. ;)

Open the compressed file, then drag or copy the thumbnails folder in your Dungeon Keeper 2\Data\editor\maps\ or copy the content of the archive's thumbnail folder in Dungeon Keeper 2\Data\editor\maps\thumbnails.

Copy the remaining files in the archive in Dungeon Keeper 2\Data\editor\maps\ sand you should be good.
Start DK2 then select Skirmish, then change map and in the list on the right you should find the map, select it and click the check mark.

I'm a bit out of the loop but not many really, your best bet is the KeeperKlan forum: KeeperKlan forum htere you can find MP groups that gather on discord and other platforms.
