J Lo: Do sales on GoG usually shrink? It was $5 CDN when I bought it and now it's $10 CDN.
$10 is the price of the game bundled with the soundtrack, maybe you were looking at the bundle and not the base game.

SENSHOCK: No it's not just related to intuition. Common sense is also based on experience & observations which is the foundation of logical reasoning.

Hurricane0440: I agree that common sense is based on experience and observations derived from those experiences, but experience itself is very subjective. Logical reasoning dismisses subjective experiences and ideas to find an objective truth based solely on facts and evidence.

You have to also consider that common sense relies not just on experience and observations, but also societal norms and expectations which are also highly subjective. It may be common sense to assume that 180 degrees refers to the temperature in Celsius elsewhere but, in America, Fahrenheit is considered to be the standard unit of temperature.

That means logic and common sense are somewhat opposed and very different from each other.
I never said they were the same. I said "you don't have to apply numbers & stats for something to be logical"
It's called common sense. You disagreed but you're still wrong.
Common sense is the practical application of "logic" in everyday life.

So what % of GOG sales are from double dipping?

Because we know double dipping exists. What I want to know is how much that is.

"Common sense is the collection of prejudices acquired by age eighteen." - Albert Einstein

Flath Earthers appel to common sense as evidence for the earth being flat. *shrug*
In the end what matters is that the game sells well.

Again if they can get some really good sales numbers they can use that to approach other publishers to show they can generate revenue on GOG thus we can get more games here.

If it doesn't do well then we can count on bigger publishers sticking with DRM clients and such figuring people may complain but they will still buy it with DRM.
Regarding the soundtrack, at least we're even with Steam. I was worried they got flac and we didn't.

"Common sense is like deodorant. The people who need it most never use it." - Bill Murray
Einstein was not very keen on supporting common sense because it often is blocking a path toward new understanding and in fact... some of the worlds most progressive thinkers was far away from what we call "common sense", even insane by many standards.

Common sense is only useful toward people "on a comparable progression", and it should never become mixed between different capabilities, else it will open Pandoras box.

In this sense... it can be handed out between children, teens, Americans, Europeans... or between scientists but it may barely be able to move between certain groups without achieving very different results. Although... regarding scientists i am not sure it can truly be achieved as the potential going out of conformity is higher than on any other group.

Hurricane0440: Common sense is more related to intuition. It's something that feels like the right thing to do.
I would say you are closer to the truth, because logic and common sense are 2 rather different approaches. In the end, logic is simply a tool or capability someone can make use of... but it is not good at handing out "common sense". It simply may not be sufficient to see the world only through the perspective of "a logical approach".

Common sense says that in Doom you shoot demons. What? It's about Einstein and Bill Murray? Booooorrrriiiiiinnngggg....
Well, it is certainly not much use "jumping around there" until some wonders may happen, because this way you may never get any progress. However... there are indeed humans being stuck in a never ending loop without any progression and they may even be happy with this kind of condition. Life does not need to make "sense", life is simply lively in some way... but not sure it is either sane, insane or even making sense.
