To quote the privacy policy:

So clearly, here's a developer of very high standards, am I right? NO to DRM and all that.

Well, XStoryPlayer just happens to be porn. And most folks don't fancy surveillance whilst fapping.

I wonder if this DRM free title will be on GOG anytime soon...?

What's interesting, I think, is that this is an entirely new audience. Normally, folks who buy DRM-free games are a subgroup of Gamers who are very conscious about how DRM hurts consumer rights. But here, DRM-free is being sold to a much wider audience, who henceforth haven't given a rats arse about DRM. This could be an entirely new frontier for DRM-free gaming!

The Porn industry has long understood the limitations of DRM.

Kudos to the developers though.

What? No. Porn is the place where people expect privacy and not to be under surveillance (how much porn they watch per day, what kind of porn, what do they do while they watch porn etc.), or having to ask for a permission to watch porn.

Current civilization wouldn't be possible without porn. Even our founding fathers watched porn, even some founding mothers.

I was on the Steam client, checking which VR games were on sale. Yeah, I know. It's not that I like Steam that much, but when it comes to VR, GOG just doesn't have enough stuff to choose from. Skimming through the titles, I discovered an anime game I haven't seen before, called Seduction 誘惑. A reviewer who boasted of having "played many VR porn games" gave it a thumbs down, saying "Buy XStoryPlayer 3.5 instead".

I haven't tried the demo, but I like that it got dynamic physics instead of static animations. The focus on story sounds like a good choice, too, and mod support is always a good thing. That said, the graphic just doesn't cut it, sadly.

I was impressed with the text interface, but agree the model detail is a bit lacking.

I've seen some very well rendered detailed CGI videos, though I don't know if they where produced in real time.

The demo has a story from the older player, the newest 3.5 is miles better in terms of graphics and pretty much everything.
