It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Have 2 games installed, and would like to be notified if someone posts a message on either of those game's forums (vs. constantly visiting said forums).

Seems like a simple to do, but I cannot find any kind of forum subscription option. This is more so I can help out any players of these games who have an issue, that I have resolved. (You request notification to your posts, but not the forum as whole.)
No posts in this topic were marked as the solution yet. If you can help, add your reply
As far as I know, no such option is available, unfortunately.

There is no such function.

However, under "Community" -> "All forums", you can see both:
whether someone posted something after your last visit, and if someone replied to something you wrote.

In the first case, the text will be bright (instead of "greyed out"), in the second case, you'll see an arrow in a star, like you see in the "General forum" (e.g.: when I replied to your post).

Edit: wrong forum name corrected

One of the features of the customizable enhancements Barefoot Essentials can bring to the forum is the permanent hiding of the notification dot: https://www.gog.com/forum/general/barefoot_essentials_2_gogcom_enhancement

There's not been much activity in that topic, but maybe I should bump it to have people notice it? It's been very helpful for me to address issues with the forum software and the layout of the forum.

Once you've installed Barefoot Essentials (see the opening post on how to do so) in the Barefoot Essentials menu (which gets put onder the About tab on the forum) in the Navigation Bar tab you can opt to 'Hide notification dot' for Activity Feed and Forum Replies.
Thanks to everyone who replied.

As you can see by my late reply, with an E-mail notification to grab my attention, I lose track of forum activity.

Log in once a day and you won't lose track.
No, sorry. That would require GOG to have an actual forum system.

Personally I champion the Dfeed system for it's blazing speed, simplicity, spam filter, and use of formatting that is easy to reference/learn.

While I also wish better forum integration was a thing, while it isn't, the best I can suggest is to keep a command/shortcut/bat or sh file for opening each page you want to consistently open, but is a chore to do manually.

For example, with my installation of Waterfox on Linux, if I wanted to open, for example, Dandara and SNK's subforums, I'd keep this command on a file that is easy to access for me:

I've never used them myself, but I am pretty sure there are 3rd party independent resources out there that will watch threads for you and report on any change.

Darvond appears to have mentioned one such.

No, what I mentioned was "strip this forum to the very foundations and build a new system."
That would be encourage customer engagement, boost sales, and generally improve moral. We can't have that!
