THIS IS NOT A CHEAT-SPAM-UPVOTE-FARMING THREAD!!!!!!!!!
I can not stress this enough!
This is only to get uncommon and buried wishes noticed so that they may have a chance to gain some traction NATURALLY.
What do I mean by "Naturally"? I mean, nobody should EVER vote for a wish if they don't care about it.
IF you don't like something, DO NOT vote for it! Nobody is telling you to do this.
Essentially, only if you see a wish you like, then of course you like it, because YOU like it, not because someone told you.

To keep things simple: You have wishlist items, or know someone else's wishlist items that seem cool? Either way, they sound pretty good, but for some reason they are never noticed! That's terrible!

Or maybe these wishes have only been noticed very rarely and then never again. There's a game you really want to buy on gog because you're the type of person who will NEVER buy any games on any other platfrom than gog, (because gog is the best we've got for games) and It's been weeks. months. Years?

IT'S BEEN A LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!

Every time you notice a single person notice a cool wish, back down it plummets into the deepest darkest abyss, buried under and ocean of other wishes begging for the usual main stream Triple-A stuff that everyone and their mother already know about, but don't really care about anyway. We're not here for that! Right? But hey, to each their own. I'm happy for them as well! Just not our cup of tea right?

So what should we do? Lets just post all our favorite wishes here, whether they are our own, or just someone else's that seem really cool. If you see something you like, then great! If you don't like something, DO NOT UPVOTE IT!
I REPEAT: THIS IS NOT A WISH UPVOTE FARMING THREAD! DO NOT UPVOTE WISHES YOU DO NOT LIKE!

So I hope this will become the place for those long lost hidden sunken mysterious sad wishes that nobody notices, to finally get notices, so that they can too feel the sunshine from the surface. Maybe you will even realize that a very cool game exists (because someone else was asking for it) but you never knew it existed until you saw someone wish for it!

Who knows?

The possibilities are endless!

Remember to follow the forum rules and keep things civil and friendly.
(I read the forum rules, I screen captured them as well. There exists no rule that says this thread isn't allowed. I sincerely hope that this thread will be honored and respected)

I will start with some wishes (some are mine, some are not)

Wow I didn't know Spelunky 2 existed. I always heard people talking about "Spelunky" but I never knew it had a sequel. Learn something new every day! :)
How an amazing Beat 'Em Up with a soundtrack by Yuzo Koshiro such as The TakeOver has less than 50 votes is beyond me.

the thing is that the gog team has to repackage games before they are sold on the gog marketplace, and this requires substantial work towards preparing and maintaining a release. For this reason, the team at gog wants to sell games that are of interest to as many people as possible to increase profitability and popularity of the marketplace.

On top of that, many games have complex licensing and ownership arrangements which can make it difficult to secure the rights to sell the game on one or several marketplaces. In some instances it is difficult or impossible to determine who actually has the rights to some or all elements of a intellectual property, which makes licensing impossible.

I just don't think it really helps to make a thread about this, because so many people want so many games, it would just clutter the discussion. You could post your comments on the wishlist for each game. I think the GOG team can read those.
This wishlist has far too few entries: https://www.gog.com/wishlist/site/remove_drm_drmfree_only

Especially considering that the 'Continue to be a DRM-free store' wishlist entry has over 61.000 entries. So right now 61.000 people wanted GOG to stay DRM-free. But after GOG decided to ditch that principle, only less that 1% of those people have voted for removing the DRM from GOG again.

Wow, you just gave me a great flashback! I own this game on disc for the PC from early 2000s. It was a pretty fun game!

Is this a really old fighting game, or an old game that was remastered for modern PC's, or is it a completely new game that is just made in the theme and style of an old game? It reminds me of lots of games from a long time ago.

I think it helps a lot because it shows gog that many customers like me care enough to say something.
It's important to show gog that we care so much that we are expressing the fact that we feel bored out of our minds and can't find anything new we want to buy, since the store just isn't representing our tastes in video games. This is important because if gog thinks about the opinions that we are voicing, this creates a new possible opportunity for gog to make more money from customers, by giving them the games they want. This also helps the customers (especially the ones who are waiting months or years at a time in hopes they will finally get to play a game they enjoy) (the same customers who check the store 3 times a week and are constantly disappointed and find nothing they like) by finally getting noticed and getting to play a game that makes us feel entertained.

You say these things are complex, probably not so simple, and that is probably true, but I will say this: Steam does it, Steam makes money. Why can't gog do it?

Instead of feeling like needing to defend gog from our hopes and dreams, as if our hopes and dreams are some kind of attack, I feel like it's a healthier mindset to accept our very very blatant honesty and feel gratitude that customers like myself are saying "hey look at me! I'm profit just waiting to happen! Just sell me some good stuff! These are some games I really want!"

We're basically handing gog free customer feedback on a silver platter. Corporations love that stuff because data=knowledge=knowing what to sell=profit.

I'm not giving out legal or business advice in any way shape or form, I'm just giving feedback by saying what I care about.

I don't feel bad for speaking out, and I will never apologize for it, or feel any shame or any guilt, because I'm asking for what I want in a polite way. You could argue that I may appear selfish because you might believe that I'm prioritizing some wishes over others, but I strongly disagree with that, My answer is just look at the horrible wishlist system which pushes the vast majority of wishes down and buries them under an endless ocean of other wishes, so that some wishes have little chance of ever been seen ever again.

The very fact that other people are posting in this thread, is proof to me that others feel the way that I feel, because they too felt the need to be noticed, where as before they may not have been at all.

I hope this all made sense, and helps everyone better understand the perspective of customers like myself. Thank you.

I'm really pleased to say that after clicking on this I realized that I had actually already given this a +1 some time ago, but I'm not too sure when this was. Pretty cool coincidence!

It is a game from 2019 which was strongly inspired by Streets of Rage and Final Fight. It was made before it became clear that a real Streets of Rage 4 would ever be released, so it was strongly influenced by the original trilogy.

https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/subnautica
Subnautica is one of the games I would love on GoG, this game is one of the best survival games.
Great story not hard to learn and very beautiful.
All the games from CAVE Entertainment. Why was Guwange ever only made available on XBLA? Why are genre-defining arcade classics like DoDonpachi not good old games? Actually just bring that ridiculous CAVE Shooter compilation box here so I can buy everything for like $100 or something instead of over a grand on ebay.
