I love fantasy. I write fantasy. I read fantasy novels.
Any fantasy games to recommend, besides D&D games?
I own quite a collection here on gog and steam.... so something I missed? It must run smoothly for Windows 7/10. It doesn't need to be an rpg.
Heroes of Might and Magic III - strategy with epic RPG elements
Tales of Maj'eyal - tactical roguelike without a death spiral
These two are scientifically proven to have the best fantasy settings ever. There's no god but DarkGod. May we all live in a fluffy place.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 is very good. Divinity's fantasy setting is meh by itself, but the sheer freedom of options brings the game to the top.

If you want literary fantasy that'd be pretentious if it wasn't awesome, that's Loom but you'll have to pirate it because the GOG version is a crime against humanity, content-wise.

The Kyrandia games.
Sakura Fantasy :P
The Longest Journey

RUNE
Battle Chef Brigade
Let's see...

Dragon Wars could be described as dystopian fantasy. If's a rather nice game that was overlooked (not many people have heard of that game). Unlike the Bard's Tale games (which it's often compared to), Dragon Wars is more of an open-world game that de-emphasizes dungeon crawling.

Morrowind and Oblivion, of course, are also fantasy. One thing to note is that Morrowind has more of an alien feel (doesn't technically meed my definition of "alien fantasy" because there are humans, but humans aren't the dominant race (dark elves are), and the terrain has an alien feel with things like mushroom forests and ash deserts. Oblivion is more like traditional fantasy.

I know you said non-D&D, but have you played the Dark Sun games, which are an example of post-apocalyptic fantasy?
Could you elaborate a bit? What type of fantasy do you want? There are too many fantasy games!
Also what fantasy games have you already played?
As for the question, I'd like to suggest Gothic 1-2 series,Risen 1 and Elex (I finished it recently).
These are action RPG in dark fantasy world with terrible strong monsters wandering.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning might be one you haven't heard of. It is a single-player fantasy RPG in open world style. You can find it on Steam or Amazon.
Exile/Avernum/Avernum: It's largely set in the fictional world of Avernum, and later the Empire.

There's a whole ethos.
Ultima series.
Fantasy football.
Divinity series is a good fantasy setting. The Elder Scrolls games too. Also, The Witcher series is a pretty good one. On Steam, Golden Axe and Chronicles of Mystara are both good arcade style beat-em-ups that are definitely fantasy.

It's a single player mmo which gets incredibly dull and repetitive a few hours in.

You need to be a bit more specific or just look at lists on Wikipedia. There are literally thousands upon thousands of games across rpg, adventure and even action which he of interest. Low fantasy, high fantasy, historical fantasy, specific setting etc.

Hybrid between rpg and strategy which is pretty cool.
