I will long be grateful to GOG for the innovations they've stimulated in the industry and for the games they brought back that I never thought I'd play.
However, there have to be consequences for selling out to authoritarian monsters, especially over an inoccuous easter egg. This is not a controversy. It is cowardice.
I understand the market access to China is more important than my own buck...or human freedom. I hope GOG employees enjoy their yuan. Perhaps they can use it and the market access they've gained at the price of their dignity to purchase harvested organs from some unfortunate Uighur laboring in a slave camp.
