That's actually a funny avatar! Sorry so to see that caused it, if it was that. I've missed what was happening in the thread lately until I read it now and saw what had happened. Well, that had gone nasty quite quickly. You shouldn't feel too bad though, since you did mean it all in good fun and removed it once he said he didn't like it, but still, I feel like his reaction was extreme if he was angry primarily at what you did.

I was on the receiving end of Sachys's wrath again, but in a different topic. He posted a topic to remember friends who had died, and I decided to mention Leelah Alcorn (who I didn't know, but whose death had an emotional impact on me), and Sachys accused me of trying to turn the thread into a politics topic and demanded me to edit my post to remove information.

Sorry, but I am not going to remove information from my post just because one person complained (especially since I find it annoying when other people do so and consider it an abuse of the edit feature).

Also, why do people consider a characteristic of the person to be political? It's part of the person's personal identity, just like being left-handed might be.

While Sachys may have his faults, as we do all, that one was on you. And if you aren't an idiot, you already know why.

No, it wasn't on me. I made a post in the letter and spirit of the topic, and Sachys started complaining about it. Why must people react so harshly to such an innocent post?

He did start that giveaway post saying that he's going to have a crap birthday, so I assume that there are other things in his life that aren't going as he would like them, and that's affecting his reactions.

No offense to you OP, but I think I have to agree with foxworks. It's bad enough we triggered him on his thread (well, not you, but still), it's a little disrespectful for us to continue talking about him and his actions until he returns unless they're to console him. Something tells me he won't be too happy about anybody using any of his images, either.

That being said, however, I would like to encourage anybody who thought the thread was a fun idea and still has their creative juices flowing to enter the partnered art/drawing/creativeness/whatever competitions of me and Grimwerk's.

Very likely the only reason the death of that person had an impact on you is that characteristic. That's the problem. You didn't care about Leelah Alcorn's death because of what she had achieved in life, or what she liked, or anything else that defined her as a person, but because, as you say, she was left-handed.

And that is a political stance. It's caring about someone not because of them, but because of what they represent. When you mention something like this you state your political stance.

Sometimes, I wonder about that guy. He seems to quite often divert the subject to LGBT issues whenever he gets the first opportunity, despite repeated requests from the community not to bring up the subject since it could cause a divide/rift/derailing in the threads.
