I just opend my GOG galaxy to play the witcher again and for some reason U have the game of the year edition and my standard one. Is this an error for GOG?

We're not going to be able to help you here. Like almost all online support forums, we're just other customers and there's little to no employee interaction.

If you're having a problem with your account, best bet would be to contact GoG staff directly via a support ticket.

Did you download an illegal copy?

It's normal. If you have the base game and the DLCs (Heart of Stone + Blood and Wine), you get the goatee version for free.

(Note: for future buyers, the bonus version won't necessarily be available forever. The bonus games people already have aren't going anywhere, though.)

Did you buy the two addons?

GoG added the GotY Edition for those who have the base game and the two addons automatically at some point.

I know you mean well, but directing him to Support for a question most of us could easily answer is kind of pointless. Starmaker's post is correct: he got the GOTY edition for free because he owned base game + both expansions.

Sorry, didn't realize it was an upgrade given out. I know folks have asked previously why two different versions of a game was in their inventory but yet others have questioned why when one has a more advanced version of the game, lesser versions are still showing up as available on the store.

Sorry for the confusion.

Uhm, that's not The Witcher, that's The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. OP was talking about The Witcher.

*edit: Or the OP is wording it wrong. The Witcher comes as an Enhanced Edition in my library, not a GotY edition, while The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt does have a Game of the Year edition.

It's somewhat confusing. In my case, i bought the base game on launch at greenmangaming (non steam). Now i don't know what happens if i buy the season pass on GOG. I hope support can help you.
