by launching the game like dragon's dogma dark arisen and having both platforms running in the background

after about 5 hours of playtime i take a break quit the game and wait for it to be syncing my

saved game on both clouds server simultaneously now will it work

or

would it conflict between the two because your supposed to use only one platform which is steam instead of gog galaxy

i looked at the gog connect FAQ page it said:
As a rule of thumb - yes. Save files are generally compatible across distribution platforms although there may be exceptions to the rule. Keep in mind that your Steam cloud saves will not be automatically transferred or backed up. Make sure that you choose to keep your save files if you're uninstalling a game (or have a backup on hand) and you want to continue your progress with the GOG.com version of your game

so i'm thinking probably not.
GOG Connect is just a bonsu program to get the GOG version of some Steam games you own, it has nothing else to do.
GOGs and Steams "Cloudsave" work different, so no it wont work. Depending if you launch the GOG version through Galaxy, it will use GOGs sync (which stores locally and backups the save in the cloud), if you launch the Steam version, it will use Steams Cloud.
Well that will do thanks for the comment i had one thing in my mind for it this is closest thing we could get incase something bad happens to steam GOG Galaxy will be like a life saver i guess.
