GrumpyImpaler: I laid out how things went down in my previous post here. The problem is that March 31 wasn't included in the time available to redeem the key. Or is this normal on GOG?
When a bill of yours says that you have until say April 10 to pay it does it mean you actually have to do it before April 10 or can you also do it up until and on April 10?
muntdefems: I'm not sayin that you are wrong or that your complaint is baseless. But what you wrote in post#73 and then in post#75 are not the same thing:
· Post#73: "...the email said that the key is valid until Mar 31, 2018 and so did the redeem page..."
· Post#75: "...the redeem page said that it expires on March 31, 2018."
If it's the former, I agree that the key validity issue is open to interpretation. But if it's the latter, then I don't see how anyone can be surprised that, on March 31, the key had already expired.
Perhaps I'm wrong and GOG doesn't do things the way I think is the norm to do them.
My wording in post 73 is because I think that in both cases that date is included in the deadline.
The redeem page didn't use "until" or "on", just "expire" and the date. Are you saying that the date on the redeem page isn't included in the time to claim a key and that people know this?
It's not about the key, I'm more bothered by the fact that it wasn't clearly stated until when the key was good and I tried to give it away thinking that it was still good.
