My game keeps crashing and I need help.

I just got Stellaris for free with prime gaming, I installed the game with the GOG launcher, but everytime I launch the game and try to create a custom empire or do pretty much anything it crashes, as a result, I can't play the game whatsoever.

I've installed and played the game before during the free weekend on steam.

Any help is appreciated, I just want to play the game.

If I were you, I'd contact (human) assistence service and open a ticket, then I'd return here and post my PC and OS config. You're being too vague.
Could be related to you having played Stellaris on steam before.
Did you uninstall the steam version, delete all files everywhere?

You need a third party plugin to integrate Prime with Galaxy, as I found out on the Galaxy Forum [This is General ,) ]

This has nothing to do with his issue. The Prime game is a GOG edition, not a Prime game. The game activates on GOG.

Ah, ok. Prime but not prime..

Then, OP, you should see if it starts without Galaxy first. Then ask in the Galaxy or Stellaris sub-forum as well.
It might be a problem with the Paradox launcher. You could try launching the game directly using the exe file, see if it works that way.

I have experience of programs and games crashing when running out of memory.

How much RAM do you have and how big is your VM settings?

You might also change your graphics settings to the lowest setting and see if it starts working; It may have a bad default setting that tries to use more Video Ram than you actually can handle, then upgrade it appropriately.
