As the title states I just realised, that there are some games missing from the "coming soon" list on the shop. The two titles I know about are "Sins of a Solar Empire - Trinity" and "Giana Sisters - Dream Runners". Has someone an idea why this happend? Is their GOG release canceled?

I don't know?

But i do know Sins of a Solar Empire is by Stardock who also released Galciv3 on here.

I noticed that Galciv3 first got released on Steam before it was released here..... and i thought that probably must have pissed Steam off? I would guess the long arm of Steam is behind it?

Or the games are not 'coming soon' because they 'came' ??

They are not available here. So probably there are some problems with the release?

I guess.... perhaps someone who knows will answer? but meanwhile, my best guess is that problem with the release is Steam!

Nothing official as to why both games have been axed from the upcoming list.

But, if we go into speculation territory, it's possible that GOG decided to remove Dream Runners because the developers might have had troubles implementing Galaxy multiplayer. As for the removal of Trinity, it's possible that with the more recent Rebellion here, GOG might have either thought that the Trinity version was redundant and won't offer it or they might be planning on adding it to Rebellion, similar to how they are offering the original Fallen Enchantress, along with Legendary Heroes.

Reasonable speculation except GOG would never exclude a game for being redundant because GOG stands for good old games! lol

Well, I don't think they will implement Trinity in Rebellion because both games are sold seperatly on Steam. They might have to adjust the price first or it could cause some problems. And Dream Runners... who knows. Was it succesfull at all? Could it be canceled because it bombed saleswise?

No, it wasn't successful. Steamspy gives a number 2,736 ± 1,259 owners on Steam. I guess with such a low number, the devs didn't feel like implementing Galaxy multiplayer support (for maybe another 500 buyers here).

Actually as couple of us old Sins of a Solar Empire players explained there is no need for Trinity since Rebellion includes everything from Trinity and adds a lot of additional content. Fact is Rebellion is just last in a line of standalone game versions of the same game from Stardock.

This is Sins development line: Sins of a Solar Empire base game- > standalone version Entrenchment (base game + Entrenchment patch) -> standalone version Diplomacy (base game + diplomacy patch)- > Standalone version Trinity (Entrenchment + Diplomacy patches) - > Standalone version Rebellion (Trinity + Rebellion expansion pack) + additional dlc

Fallen Enchantress is already included with the base version of Legendary Heroes here, but it's sold separately on Steam. I doubt there would be that any significant problems. At worst, they could start offering the same deal on Steam.

Except Trinity would be much cheaper

Yes but I don't think the price is much of an issue when you can get Rebellion for 11€/12.49$ at every bigger gog sale and then you also have Stardock promotions like now.

Okay, did not know that this is already the case for another game.
