EDIT:

It turns out I bought this game before I knew that G2A was a site with such terrible business practices and that I originally got the game on there. The fact that the game got removed from my GOG account was a perfect example of why not to use G2A - the game had originally been bought fraudulently with a stolen card. Once this became apparent GOG

I apologize for blaming GOG for this their actions seem to me (in the light of what I now know) to have been exemplary.

Moral of the story: Don't use G2A.

Original:
Hey

Firstly sorry if this is the wrong place for this kind issue

I had PoE on my account and have played it through and loved it for two full playthroughs across 70 hours. Suddenly now I can't seem to download it and it tells me I don't own the game. If I try to install it through the GOG galaxy the download fails and says 'not authorized'. If I try to install it though the site it says 'base game missing'.

It still recognizes that I own the DLC for some reason but the base game is missing!

So now I'm stuck - if I want to replay the game before playing PoE 2 it looks like I will have to rebuy it all over again. Although at this point I may by it through steam since I have had nothing but problems with GOG. As much as I admire the DRM free goals if this comes along with randomly removing my games it's not worth it.

My only theory is I have (had) the Royal edition which no longer seems to be on sale from GOG so maybe they stopped supporting it or something?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

You should contact GOG Support about this. It's definitely not normal.

How did you get the game? Did you purchase it yourself? GOG might remove it if there was a problem with the payment, for example if someone issued a credit card / paypal charge back.

I have with luck they can fix it.

I honestly don't remember but I bought it over 3 years ago and didn't have any issues until today so it seems unlikely that its a card being declined.
Hover over your username, then click "Orders & Settings". If you can find it there, click the down arrow next to the order no when you mouse-over it, then "Contact Support". Also if you paid via Paypal, you can search Paypal's transaction record and download a receipt with your order no on it.
Stop buying from G2A
How does a game remove itself? :P

There are lots of things that he/she didn't mention. Maybe the dingo ate the game? Or maybe it was alien abduction?
....or maybe the account just needs a refresh. That fixed it for me when one of my games went missing.
