The youtube comments I have made in my life can in all plausibility be counted with fingers of my two hands, if that.

Per default, I do not comment - so when I do, it is mainly because I have a strong sympathy. My "a post every two months" purported trollings are reserved here! ;-)

Therefore I am quite annoyed I have not found an instruction how to add a paragraph, or a space between two lines, to a youtube comment. That works systematically.

Help, please!!

In view that I did my intended post proper, an immediate comment that "sorry - this was not a vomited opinion", and a reply to ask a fellow commenter how he/she got that marvellous space - it really bugs me, because each posting should have had a paragraph.

Does java update matter? (I do not do those often) Does the browser matter? What can one do?
Ctrl+M, shift+Enter or Ctrl+Enter might work... Also try ALT+10

Keep in mind what you're doing is keeping the JS from identifying you hit the enter key and entering the character in a raw form.

Tried control enter, but will experiment the other three. Thx! Really. :-)

"JS" stands for ... "javascript" - right? Do you think it matters if one does not install all those annoying updates? (I do not - the last might be, well, more than a year old, if not two)

Meanwhile, the fact that in here I can get my paragraphs without a prob, but not in youtube just annoys the pants off me.

Making paragraphs happen cannot be that hard - I mean, Microsoft manages it in Word! If it is about forcing javascript versions, or else - that is just ... poor, I find.

Appreciate u taking the time rtcvb32 - hope it works, lest I become... concise commenter, woe is me. :-p

A lot of windows programming is 'event driven', and events are often if something happens. There's hundreds of events the handler could be watching: Mouse over, mouse click, mouse up/down, mouse double click, keyboard key presses, minimizing, maximizing, window resizing, time delay/passage, clicking in a specific area, hovering, being the active window, not being the active window, etc...

For browsers, events are helped and handled by JS, but not always. Some are built in with the assumption that there's only 1 input (comment or chatting for example) using forms, but with so many sites heavily using JS or AJax, that seems unlikely.
