I don't know how I'm #5. I changed a few of my predictions in response to the performance of certain teams, but other than that my predictions are still random guesses I made before anything happened.

I myself did poorly. Only our moderator was behind me from the "normal" player, and he missed lots of the games. If I pick the underdog like Iran or Morocco to win, they lose as expected. But if I pick the "expected" winner like Germany, they end up losing.

And Lazy Dude's score shows it was a good world cup. Only 1 goalless game; definitely better than the previous editions.

If you don't mind, let's see what comes up on sale this weekend.

I follow and watch European football (Premiere and Champions league) about as much as I do American hockey or basketball, so I knew enough going in. And I've watched the World Cup every 4 years. I know who Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich, Dartmund and Juventus are. That said, I did well on my toss-up selections, and seemed to get the score right on a few of my jokers, so I'd say I was a little lucky when I needed it.
