I just replied to someone in a topic called if I remember correctly "Linko got fired" (or something very similar to that title). In that topic someone was replying that GOG already deleted a similar topic.

Personally I find this very worrisome. If a topic is not according to the rules/ GOG does not like it, lock it, ban someone if it is really extreme, whatever. But deleting it?

BTW The topic I am referring to was also deleted.

Deleting threads is done by community members "reporting" as spam. After a certain amount of "reports" the threads are automatically deleted by the system. GOG moderators typically only lock threads.

No, the topic that was deleted was the same topic, one which the user keeps posting. It was just a childish "I want people to convince me not to leave" temper tantrum that was rightfully reported as spam.

Ok. I did not know that. That makes it less worrisome ;)

Makes it very worrisome to me... People with no authority can bot army other people the don't agree with practically out of existence on the GOG forum. Very disturbing indeed. And it's been a problem for many years that GOG refuses to address with other problems on the forum.

I doesn't look like your thread is long for this world.

Ultimately, I think people are just tired of the forum being bombarded with topics about Linko and so are downvoting them. It's time to move on.

That's a good one.Maybe you need to have a lot more deleted to appreciate the abuse.
