haydenaurion: OP is from parallel Earth where gog requires a client with some games and Steam is completely drm-free. At least that's my conclusion. :P
To be fair, it's up to developers (or more like the publishers) to implement DRM on Steam.

That's true but you still need steam clinet to download files or at least SteamCMD..
