GOG Galaxy is taking ages to open, compared with Steam is like day and night, any tip?

It's running slow for me too, and I'm unable to find any games when I scan the correct folders too. I'm hoping when 2.0 comes out this'll be fixed, but untill then I'll prob just check back here every now and then.

Good thing the Galaxy is not needed.

You could use the extra 4 seconds Galaxy needs to open to write a novel, cure cancer or solve world hunger.

Not to mention in the task manager, the process GalaxyCommunications.exe takes ages to close after exiting the program, let´s see if Galaxy 2.0 is going to change or I go back to the web browser.
