The client just updated and now it wont open. has 2 missing dlls. gives me the error for each twice.

VCRUNTIME124.dll

I'll fight the urge to comment about Galaxy itself.

You should be able to uninstall and reinstall Galaxy without losing the games you've already downloaded. To make extra sure, though, if you know how, you might want to change the directory tree (folder names) of the games and then change them back once you've reinstalled Galaxy. I don't use it, myself, but I have read several complaints that if you screw around with it, it wipes your install path.

And of course you can still play your games without it, too. Just find the .exe and run them directly.

And if you knew all this, sorry for wasting a paragraph and 30 seconds of your time.

haha didnt know any of it. only just reinstalled wither3 and galaxy haha ill try run the game on its own

If you are going to re-download games, then you may want to see if the option to "backup installer files" (or something very like that) is still there. If you have enough hard drive space, it will allow you, should you have a problem like this again, to uninstall everything and then just reinstall without downloading gigs and gigs, since you'll have all the game files already. I don't know how the Ozzie ISPs are these days, so if you've got good speeds and no throughput caps, then you probably can ignore this suggestion.

only game on it is witcher 3 that i have on disk. but im trying a reistall of GOG becasue by the looks they have taken the .exe for witcher so it wont launch without the client......

Not actually possible. If you can find where the game installed to, you can find the .exe for the game. There should be a gear-shaped icon on the lower left of the game list, iirc. Among the options there, you should be able to specify where your games install to. See where they're going, and go lok for the following directory structure: (whatever Witcher 3 goes in)/ The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt/bin/x64/ and find a file called witcher3.exe

Make a shortcut, throw it on your desktop, kill some nekkers.
