Yes, it says local, LAN, and FortNet in the game description. Unless FortNet is up and running (I have no idea what that is :P) VPN-software is probably needed.

probably not. maybe something like Hamatchi though - read on the MoO forums people had success for that

dont really do multiplayer though... so much of this is alien to me.

problem is theres a lot of users on here who dont use steam - so its stops being a GOG worming league - and WWP isn't really cheap enough to buy a bunch of copies to spread about for cross-platform play

I've got a CD version of armeggedon, and will have forts as soon as I get a second on my PC. Totally be up for murdering some of you folks :P

Worms Armageddon multiplayer is supported on Gameranger. It's possibly cross-compatible with CD-copies and Steam-copies, can anyone confirm?

I know it doesn't have the same feel as the original, but would Hedgewars be a viable alternative for a bit of Worms-style multiplayer?

Should be possible to "LAN"-play through Evolve or Hamachi? It's not superhard to setup.
