HypersomniacLive: No, Judas doesn't count.
Well, gee, thanks I guess :P

But I get your point :)

HypersomniacLive: Hey now, you know only too well how much we appreciate both your work and your presence. But I' know that you don't have the answer to that question, and so do you. :-)
Of course :) I was only pulling your leg :P

HypersomniacLive: True to your title, I see - trying to trip and rob me. ;-P

[I know you were, but wanted to make clear anyway]
Somebody's gotta do it :P

It's not a bug :)

stg83: Fall insomnia 2015 confirmed. :P
You wish :P
avatar
HypersomniacLive: Actually, I'm shocked.
avatar
Niggles: Wonder how many in those places bought them at the original price? :P. Cue the complaints....
I know one person who did and he's already filed a support ticket. There was some sticker shock in the RU forum about the prices but people weren't generally complaining about it.
avatar
Cavalary: That's a damn mess. And will make for even crazier listings from now on with more additional regions that won't be used otherwise.

... and regional locking too. How "lovely".

And yeah, I follow, but largely just to confirm there's hardly any newer release I may purchase myself at any point, regardless of level of interest.
We already explained that the regional locking for MoO is temporary.

omega64: Wasn't there some game that was removed temporarily years ago? :P
There were a few of them, your point being?

JudasIscariot: There were a few of them, your point being?
avatar
omega64: Saying the region locking is temporary doesn't mean it's true.
Though I do believe you guys in this case.
We wouldn't have said it if it wasn't. Think what you like but we do take what we say seriously.
avatar
JudasIscariot: We already explained that the regional locking for MoO is temporary.
avatar
Cavalary: But the option exists and is made use of. First a few games in Germany, now one "temporarily" in South Korea, then...
I remember something else that started with supposedly just a few games and now covers just about the entire catalog...
We gave an exact reason for the temporary region lock.

PaterAlf: I hate it. Nearly every single release of the last few weeks was regionally priced (with higher price points than the base price). I think the only items that I could've bought were the new expansion for Tales of Maj'Eyal (which I bought the second I saw it) and Eradicator (in which I have completely no interest).

I wish there would at least be a rule that regional priced games would turn to flat priced games after a certain time span (e.g. two or three years), but I guess once they arrive here regionally priced, they stay that way forever. Guess I'll have to wait for the next mystery sale to spend some money again.
While there is no hard rule about this, I believe we've had games go from regionally priced games to flat-priced with only Russian/CIS prices being the exception but I can't recall any offhand atm.
avatar
mrkgnao: Yes, but now we have Adalia Fundamentals. What reason is there to use the GOG forum search?
avatar
Cavalary: Your call, was just pointing out a potential complaint :)

Cavalary: QFT...

avatar
Cavalary: *shrug* You gave reasons for other things as well, doesn't change what I said. Wouldn't change it even if it'd be unlocked tomorrow.
We avoid region locking unless we have to which is why you don't see too much region locking in the first place but feel free to hold on to whatever viewpoint you desire.
