I'm curious about its gameplay. I can't really tell from its description how micro intensive it is or if its possibly to play it without having to do everything yourself.

Could anyone enlighten me?

PS. I'd love it if I could roleplay a King where I just tell underlings to "Get stuff done". :)

Micromanagement is mostly optional, for example: you can manage every detail of trade routes manually or let the AI handle it.

Sounds good! So is the game finally one where it's possible to play as a Ruler and not some kind of busy body godlike puppet master that does everything? or is it just some things that can be automated?
