I posted this some where else but I’m making a discussion just to get the ball rolling. Everywhere I look, nobody seems to have an answer as to what this is, but I’m going to keep trying.
I am playing the GOG release of “Hitman - Contracts” on Windows XP, and the games graphics are great! But every few seconds they glitch out of control, they flicker this rainbow color and I can’t seem to figure out why. GOG will not allow me to link a video or photo due to me having no reputation. So on YouTube, type “what is going on with Hitman - Contracts (graphical glitch, or bug?)” and you’ll see my video on what I’m talking about. I tried lowering hardware acceleration, I played around with all the settings in the options menu. I tried running in compatibility mode, nothing worked. I have no idea what’s going on. The only other thing I could think of is that their maybe some incompatibility happening with my specs. But that doesn’t make sense cause none of my other games have this problem, and all my other Hitman games work fine on this laptop. Please, I’m pretty much begging people, anyone who can help me solve this problem would be greatly appreciated:
I have a core I7 CPU
I am running on AMD Firepro M6000 GPU @2.7Ghz (8 CPUs)
I have 3.22 GB of RAM
I am running DirectX9
I am using IDT Audio at full acceleration
I am running Windows XP Pro SP3 (5.1, build 2600)
I am running on a Dell Precision m6700 Mobile Workstation Laptop at 1920x1080p with 60 Hz refresh rate.
My chip type is an ATI Display adapter.
