botan9386: Unfortunately, we just don't see that. For example, at the time when you'd be banned for saying negative things towards women, you wouldn't be policed for proposing to kill all men. What happened is that strict moderation only applied to protected classes, or rather everyone who was not male or white.

botan9386: I'm not saying this is something you'd agree with, but that was the "moderated" environment.
And again, given the intelligence of the people complaining about this sort of thing on the platform, either it's so small-scale it's not even worth talking about, or it's in the same vein as an American waking up and suddenly accusing their air conditioner of being "communist" - a.k.a. made up boogeyman to validate their stupi- I mean fear of the monster under their bed.

And here's the real kicker...... I wasn't even talking about American social media sports. The platform IS worse to use, more unmoderated, any scumbag with some money can get a badge, and now is in the hands of a billionaire who belongs in a mental asylum and shouldn't manage one employee, let alone several companies AND A GOVERNMENT. Can't view anything without logging in. Remember that time everyone was rate-limited deliberately because the site was unstable as hell due to said billionaire's genius? Yeah, no wonder Bluesky is taking off!

Breja: Because it's easier to blame the guy straight up doing nazi salutes in front of worldwide audience than to realise that the social media they are addicted to were the problem all along, and switching to a different echo chamber solves jack shit.
eLOL Maximus is constantly removing features and functions from X formerly known as Twitter. This is the main reason why people are leaving his 44 billion dollar toy. X as a product sucks. That's why people are leaving.
