'Sup hambones?

I recently tried to post a review for a game on here, but some unclear reason, it just won't post! The only thing that happens when I try 'n' post it is that it display that li'l "loading" icon, and then bugger-all else happens.

I've stayed within all of the ridiculous boundaries and limitations that this site imposes on reviews (no swearing, title character limit, EXTREMELY and UNNECESSARILY low review character limit) and... yeah. From my end of things, everything SHOULD work. But it doesn't. So what gives? Is this a known issue recently? I'll admit I barely ever bother posting reviews on this site due to how EXTREMELY bad the system for it is, and... this isn't exactly disproving my position, so to speak.

Cheers in advance for whatever help y'all can offer.

It's a known issue. Sometimes it's a pregnant pause, sometimes the only thing that happens is nothing.
It might have to do with particular words that are not allowed, and that's why posting fails. I had that issue recently, where it took me a while to find out the culprit that had the GOG forum in refusal mode. And I couldn't really see any logic behind why that word didn't get accepted.

I tried to post a review of a book I had read recently here. One might think there could be a couple of obvious no-no words in there, but the one throwing a wrench into the system was: o_c_c_u_l_t. I don't get it. Replaced it with "supernatural" and that did the trick.

I think this one is related to one of many forum spam waves. ;)

Ah, I see. That'd make sense then. Would be great to have a list of words to avoid, or not-accepted words highlighted when trying to post.

I think someone made a thread with those, but I don't have it bookmarked, sorry.

Thanks much, I found it: Banned Words on GOG: A tracking list.

And the word my post initially stumbled over is listed there already.
On top of the potential banned words, there are known issues with the reviews and ratings for some time now, see https://www.gog.com/forum/general/game_ratings_have_disappeared
and more recently https://www.gog.com/forum/general/what_is_wrong_with_gog
A few days ago I received a support reply saying that they confirmed the problem, but it's apparently only affecting some users. No ETA for solving was provided.

And yes, once they enforced the character limit I for one was clearly blocked from ever posting another here.

Or they could just not ban words. Only communists do that.
