Why would I destroy my tea by putting sugar in it?

... to be fair, there is the rare case where I put honey in the tea.

I don't really drink tea. Or coffee. Or alcohol. Or smoke.
I'm really fun to have around.

On the rare occasion I voluntarily have tea, it is green/herbal, and I don't usually put sugar in it. Lemon sometimes.
