Hello all.

I have the unclaimed key which one I won on Kinguin, It is The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt GOTY Edition, and I would like to make a giveaway with it as prize. Key should work but it is Kinguin so I can't guarantee. It's region free for GOG platform.

I don't know what rules for this giveaway would be right. Can you guys help me with writing down proposition of rules? Then I will choose which ones satisfy my expectations and I will make new thread on forum with that giveaway.

My propositions of rules for discuss:
1. You can't be owner of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt GOTY Edition on GOG.
2. After winning, you must set in options "ALLOW CHAT MESSAGES FROM" to "everyone" so I can send you code to redeem.
3. After winning, you must set in options "YOUR FULL GAME LIBRARY CAN BE SEEN BY" to "GOG.com users" so I can check point 1.
4. You can't be blank account (without any games).
5. Your account must be created before giveaway started.
6. You must claim game in 48 hour period.

Thanks for reading and any contributions to rules :)

Honestly the first thing I'd do is make sure that the key is actually legal. Pretty much any G2A style key reseller site that offers "buyer protection" instantly throws up a red flag to me as GOG don't legally sell them like that. Likewise 100% legit sites like Humble that source keys directly from the publishers don't need "Buyer protection" (aka "Fraud Protection") for a reason...

I'd take a risk with a kinguin key:) Suggestion for rules, #1 should be "You can't be owner of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt base game or GOTY Edition on GOG." Giving the GOTY to someone who has the base game seems a bit of a waste in my opinion. Also make it clear that the game must be redeemed only in the account that won it and not in any alternative accounts.
Thanks for posts AB2012 and Zadalon.

@AB2012
I understand you concerns.
Key is won directly from Kinguin auction but I don't know who is supplier for that auction. Maybe Kinguin bought keys directly from GOG store at sale time, maybe not.

@Zadalon
I changed rules after your suggestions.

1. You can't be owner of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt base game or GOTY Edition on GOG.
6. You must redeem code for game on participating GOG account that won game.
7. You must claim game in 48 hour period.

What you guys think about reputation? Should I add minimum reputation rule?

The odd user has run their quick giveaways with a positive rep rule, but keep in mind there might be reputable members out there who have negatives but are reasonable people who copped a sustained down-repping attack. Rep has been broken for years so I don't think it's a solid measuring tool on the forum now. Up to you mate, it's your game, your rules.

I don't think it's a good idea. Reputation doesn't represent an actual reputation for a long time now. There's a lot of great people here with a negative rep...
Account registration must be at least month ago.
