If you have window 10 or 11 the games crashes. it been posted by a few players on the imp 1 and 2 forum, but it hasnt been fixed. i firgured maybe someone who can fix the game might see it on the general forum. it runs on windows 7 and easlier windows.

I just installed and played a bit of both Imperialism 1 and 2 on two separate laptops, one running Windows 10 Pro and the other Windows 11 Home.

Both started and played fine, didn't see any crashes for the little while I played the games (which consisted mainly of clicking around in the game map without really understanding what the heck I was supposed to do in the game, apparently build cities and conquer the world I guess).

So at least it doesn't seem to be an universal problem that it wouldn't run on Windows 10/11.
