Jamiebourne: I can say to everyone that GOG have now restored the games to my account that I told them were missing. Thank you support for doing that.
avatar
timppu: So, which games? You can tell, even if it was "Lula the Sexy Empire" or even "Daggerfall" (shudder!).
Hi,

It was quite random, but it was these that I know of:

okhlos
slain
this is the police
tharsis
layers of fear
x rebirth
dont starve alone
deadly tower of monsters
8 bit armies
battlestation harbringer
starfleet x 2
everspace

I hope there aren't more, but do check your purchases.

As I said it cost me a bit of money too as I re-bought a couple of them.

No explanation from GOG at all about what happened and why.

Klumpen0815: What's wrong with Daggerfall?
Everything. I mean, what wouldn't be wrong with Daggerfall?

Have you ever found anything in its dungeons or just aimlessly run in circles in them not knowing where you are and where to go, or climb walls inside houses for hours or run and jump constantly in order to improve your skills? And the combat system is atrocious, even worse than in TES Arena.

Thanks. I asked so that anyone could check their accounts for the same titles (whether the problem is reproduced with said titles), and also to try to understand if there is some common factor in them.

At least the titles seem quite random, did you happen to buy them around the same time or something?

Yeah, it would be nice to hear from GOG some explanation because, as said, in earlier cases a game has gone missing from everyone's accounts. This is the first time I remember games gone missing only on someone's account, without GOG intentionally revoking said games (e.g. because they were bought from G2A or such).

Anyway, as said, gogrepo is a pretty good tool to detect mishaps like this (providing you have already downloaded all your games with it, so that it can check if there are mismatches between your GOG online library, and your local library). I guess I will run gogrepo soon, I am a good test subject since I have quite many GOG games (1360 at the time of writing). So at least if this was some widespread problem, I should see it with gogrepo. There are lots of other gogrepo users as well out there...

No, the games were all bought from GOG over a period of six months last year.

There were purchases before, in the middle of and after all of these that are fine.

All of the games were on my account fine, until they disappeared whenever that was.

Would be good to know why.
I'm sure that after they sort it out,you get either a refund or if you wish, gift keys. I just hope this doesn't happens again.

timppu: o even "Daggerfall" (shudder!).

Thiev: :(
Daggerfall is great.
The Soundtrack still rings in my ears. And the graphics had a charm of its own. And it managed to achieve a fine balance between complexity and fun.
I will go back to it once more and try to finish it now that we have Oblivion here.
My games and orders are fine. No game is missing!
low rated
It just happened to me, bought cyberpunk and i got the email, and its in my order history, but it never showed up in my library. First fecking time I used this site, never using it again until i get the game back.

Can you try this and see if the game is still not in your library?
Go into your library and remove all the checkboxes under "system" (or easier: just click the x besides "system").

I don't know why, but Cyberpunk 2077 is the only game that disappears when these checkboxes are checked...
If that doesn't work see if there is something else checked in the other categories, like "features" or "tags".

Jamiebourne: Post #1 snip
I've had such an issue with at least one order I did.

I only noticed this because my number of games under https://www.gog.com/account decreased by one, and upon further inspection, I found out that a whole order I did back in November or December 2020 (not sure on the exact month) was affected.

After mentioning this to the support, I was informed that an issue had happened to the order and it was taken retroactively from my account, but they offered me a refund and a custom discount code with the exact contents of the order.

Also, not sure if any other orders were taken from my account, as some of my orders only contained DLCs, and if those were to be removed from my account, my games number wouldn't go down.

You do realize that you are replying to a 4 years old post, right? In fact the post is from before you joined GOG. ;)

Your profile says you own exactly one game... that would be Cyberpunk I assume? And you don't see the game here: https://www.gog.com/account ?
The best advice I can give is to take advantage of the lack of DRM; go into each game's 'Extras' tab and download the offline installer. I have a backup external hard drive with (so far) half a terabyte of installers, mods and cover art. I connect it to the computer only when I need to add to my collection. Should GOG pull a stunt like any of the aforementioned I will be able to play my game(s) knowing that I get the last laugh.
