War of the builders.

Besiege, a highly addictive physics-based game about building medieval siege engines and decimating your opponent's settlements, is available now for Windows, Mac, and Linux, DRM-free on GOG.com with a 30% launch discount.

Few things in life are more satisfying than watching miniature structures and vehicles getting torn apart, blown up, or bent out of shape. If they also happen to be operated by little soldiers at the time, the levels of perverse satisfaction are raised by about 74%, according to studies.
This is exactly what you'll be doing in Besiege, the most destructive game of pure creativity: construct devilish siege machines or flying menaces and turn them against unsuspecting windmills, humble hamlets, formidable castles, livestock, or entire battalions of little people.
There are 15 levels available already, but while the game is In Development, Spiderling Studios are planning on adding more places to conquer with your death machines, along with more variety in how you express your destructive tendencies.

Build any kind of devastating machine that you can think of and bring entire kingdoms to their knees with Besiege, DRM-free on GOG.com.
The 30% discount will last until December 11, 10:59 PM UTC.

Note: This game is currently in development. See the FAQ to learn more about games in development, and check out the forums to find more information and to stay in touch with the community.

Nice to see it here eventually :-)
I normally don't buy "in dev" games (just wishlisting them) but in this case, the nice discount and the fact that the concept can be entertaining even if "incomplete" made me instabought this. :)

Now if we could also get Gang Beasts here... ;)
OMG, that's some of the best art direction i've seen & fits this game perfectly too! I'm not into InDev much, but i'm gonna buy this. Not only the reviews are very positive, but the price is great too! More games like this please!!! :D

The link to the game forum currently links to https://www.gog.com/forum/general instead of https://www.gog.com/forum/besiege.

Same thing for Rad Rodgers: World One.

(And possibly other recent In Development titles, but I only know of those two.)

Edit. Thank you, anonymous fixer!

Nice to see it here, it's one of the few early access games that imo doesn't matter that it's early access. It's just a fun sandbox to mess around with, making weird machines.
Hmm, coud be fun in short burst i guess.
Il wishlist it to keep an eye on it.
Cant afford it now annyway.

Now this game looked interesting! Is there an ETA on the final build?

No, they are currently at version 0.4 and the road 1.0 is still long but its probably one of early access games that looks complete already without the full content of the game. Why is that? Cause you can create basically whatever machine you wan't and test it on existing defenders :)

Just check some youtube videos and you will see its tones of fun.

Thanks for the info!
There's a particularly facepalm-worthy error in the text of one of the bullet points on the product page. See if you can find it*:
- Construct a, physics based, medieval-esk war machine in a destructable sandbox environment.
As long as I'm pointing out errors here, I may as well mention that "physics based" should properly be hyphenated, and that there's no reason for "puzzles" to be capitalized in the middle of a sentence. ;) EDIT: Also, there's a completely unnecessary comma in the very line I quoted above, which I somehow totally overlooked until just now.

*Give up? The "-esk" (which means nothing, and looks stupid) should be "-esque" (an ending of many French words, here used to mean "-like": "medieval-ish", basically :P ). It boggles my mind that they got "medieval" right, but botched "-esque".

Well, they got it fonetically correct.
Sure looks promising.

Phonetically. =)
And If you're going to try to use "highfalutin" words (or, in this case, word parts), you need to make damn sure you get it right, or you'll come off like two kinds of ass: jack- and dumb-. =D EDIT: "You" meaning "whoever wrote that copy", not "you, yogsloth", obviously.

Also, should have been "destructible" instead of "destructable"?
