synfresh: Not everyone who buys here is here for only DRM-Free but I think you already know that. What's funny is this kind of mindset (only buying on GoG) is the exact thing some here accuse Steam users of (only buying on Steam). See, that's the nice thing about options, you can buy games from different places.

lazydog: It is not funny at all.

Nobody is criticising steam users. Steam users can pay money for something that does not exist until the cows come home as far as I am concerned.

But I will not stand for people saying DRM is "double bladed". It simply isn't, and never has been. To use the given symbolism it is merely a simple knife in the ribs. DRM cripples a product- it is defective by design.

So do me a favour, if you wish to buy on gog and steam, buy on gog and steam, move on and stop posting in threads that concern active DRM discussions.
I can post whenever and wherever I want. It's not any different from DRM-Free advocates shitting up threads like the Fallout 4 thread who feel the need to post their two cents as to why Fallout 4 is garbage as if the posters talking (and playing) that game give a damn.

Also as far as paying money for something that doesn't exist, last I checked I was able to play a game that was bought on Steam 10 years ago. Still exists for me I guess.

GOG doesn't sell Fallout 4. You'd have a point if they were posting it on Steam forums.

It never ceases to amaze me that some people act "surprised" that on a site that identifies itself primarily to selling DRM-free games, you might even face sentiments against DRM in games. How dare they be DRM-free advocates on GOG.com?!?

GoG doesn't sell a lot of stuff other stores do, hence why the gaming deals thread exists. What's your point, if it's not sold here the thread shouldn't exist? Or that any thread gives license for DRM-Free to spout their point even if the thread itself has nothing to do with DRM? It never ceases to amaze me that there are DRM-free advocates that can't understand that not everyone who buys here only buys for DRM-free.
