Maybe if we all collectively boycotted such a franchise .... but best of luck with that.
As they say, fools and money are easily parted. Many people just have to have and have it now.
That said, all of us are weak at times ... hell, even me ... ha ha ha.
Just yesterday I finally bought realMyst Masterpiece Edition due to a special discount email.
I'd been putting off buying the game even though I had all the others. I wanted it, but had been annoyed when it was released here because I'd not long before bought the standard Real Myst ... no longer available here. It was bad timing and I wanted a bigger discount than they gave. I could have bought the Masterpiece Edition for $7 AUD back then and in hindsight probably should have, especially as I don't recall it ever being below $10 or $11 AUD since (a few years). When they advertised a little while ago about the new version of Myst, I got another of those special discount emails and scored the only other two Myst games I did not have at the time, for a fair price, but the Masterpiece Edition was around $12 or $13 AUD still, so not much of a discount. Anyway with this latest email discount it was $8.49 AUD, and I just decided to cut my losses and finally get it. Cost me $1.50 more than if I had been smarter back in the day, but that's life, and I finally have it now and can close that door. Weak I know, and just my luck they will drop the price again when the new one comes out.
The sad thing and why I did not pay that $7 back in the day, was because the standard Real Myst became redundant and I'd only just bought it. If I'd had it a lot longer, that $7 wouldn't have seemed all that much. Them's the breaks. It of course also felt like I was being conned to pay twice for the game.
try out Quern - Undying Thoughts it is very similar, but seems more logical
imho just make a list what you want to play next and not in the unknown future and only buy those when discounts come , i cant see the point of buying games just to have them on the account
Modern civilisation has gone soft. They've turned into gender pronoun wimps. Television has to adapt to these fools if they're going to succeed at something. These new shows and movies aren't aimed at fans. They're aimed at the people who normally wouldn't have the intelligence to understand old school Star Trek, as an example.
ST is pretty good at least most of the series and some games.
I vividly remember when the prequel trilogy came out, just how bad it was. The prequel movies were legitimate 6/10 movies, with the third being slightly better than the rest. I'm ok with people disliking the new trilogy, but I still struggle to wrap my head around how people can go about pretending the prequels were not disappointing movies.
The prequels were not good ,but they are still better than the new movies, that speaks a lot how shitty the new ones are.
Their stories are garbage , characters are just badly thought out, even the pacing is bad. And whats the worse they go against the previous canon, like with that Holdo maneuver warping the ship into the huge ship ... what a total bs.
