How do I stop the ground (surface) flicker?

It's like the ground textures overlap, and the overlap flickers black.

It's like the ground textures overlap, and the overlap flickers black.
Disable the shadows and see if there's any improvement. I have a vague recollection of doing the same in a different game and the problem went away.
