First 2 hours of playing the game and I had to comepletely restart the game twice.

Mild spoilers (if even that):
For some reason when talking to BJ for the first time the dialogue wouldn't trigger and I couldn't give him or Faith the phone.
The second time I couldn't talk to Lefty about the empty toilet paper roll.

Anybody had this happen to them too? Is there a fix? I was wandering around not knowing if I missed something, trying to combine every item in my inventory, but nope, it was the games fault.
This is beyond infuriating (and laughable) as I could softlock myself yet again after a couple of hours not realizing where exactly the game shit the bed. I'm not keen of keeping dozens of save files and checking a walkthrough every couple minutes to see if something didn't trigger correctly.

Edit:
I might have answered my own question, apparently the game doesn't like it when you advance the dialogue boxes by clicking or pressing space.

What the absolute fuck? How can this not be fixed after so many years?
