Anyone know what all changes GOG has made today or maybe it was yesterday?

I've noticed only a couple things so far.

- They've added [Forum game] to the titles of topics that people created as a game. One example is the "Word Association Game"
- A game bought yesterday has a link under its name in the order history called "Ask for a refund". Any one-click process is always nice.

Anything else?

Maybe GOG will post a list soon. Hopefully.

[P.S.]

If by chance a GOG staff member sees this thread, I'd like to add one minor request since it seems the order history page is being updated.
- When using the dropdown filter and selecting "UNREDEEMED GIFTS", instead of only seeing a list of "NOT YET REDEEMED" games, you end up seeing a list that also includes "(REFUNDED)" games as well. Hopefully this will be fixed if changes are being made.

Not a big deal, but thought I'd add it just in case.

The refund link was announced a week or two back, probably in response to the perceived need for the Cyberpunked abused to get their money back.
That was a specific change, there has been nothing else, no fixes, no updates to anything on the website for years now. Only galaxy gets anything.

Thanks for the Forum game tag, GOG!

Can't say I approve of those changes, it looks like a concession to people who hate forum games.
I think forum replies are even more broken now. That is, not only is the purple dot permanent, but I also seem to net be seeing the "reply" icon next to threads where someone replied to me.

The purple people eater, I mean dot, is getting more powerful. It's eaten the reply dot.

That doesn't help. It doesn't reduce the "forum games" spam one iota.

Instead, they should outright delete all "forum games" spam, just like they do with bot spam that clutters up the forums late at night. "Forum games" spam is no better nor more worthwhile than bot spam is, and both ruin the forum to an equal degree. So it's a double standard that GOG deletes the one but not the other.

[modded: please refrain from being rude towards others - ponczo_]

I don't even remember what I wrote here originally, not that I expect moderation on this forum to make any damn sense.

ANYWAY: people whining about others having fun with forum games are annoying, and their spam should be deleted.

One of the staffers did that for a few forum games, and I thought it was a nice change(makes forum games easier to spot for newcomers, for starters) so I let staff know about a number of others so they could add the tag to them as well.
(of course I might've missed some....as I only checked among the threads I have favorited)

I do see those... but I still can't get to this page:

https://www.gog.com/forum/myrecentposts

to see which messages in which subforums have received replies, and which are my recent messages.

I get the GOG Bear instead. Somehow this problem seems to be related either to the high number of messages you've written, or the high number of games you have in your GOG library. I've pondered if it is that after you have a certain (high number) of games in your library, that page just times out when it tries to reach all those hundreds or thousands of sub game forums, as it seems to automatically subscribe you to each game's subforum, after you have bought a game.

So I guess I have something like 2000 such subforum subscriptions, or thereabouts... And the GOG forum software can't possibly handle that anymore, or something.

Then again IIRC some people with much less games have had the same problem, but they've been quite active in the forum for years, so that would point to it being more related to how actively someone has written to the forums... or then it is both that can cause the issue.

So, if I go to this page:

https://www.gog.com/forum

there is a link that says I have 14 replies to my messages. But clicking that link causes a GOG Bear timeout, when it tries to list those threads where the replies are, and all the recent messages I've written.

Yeah, the icon seems to be working again for me... and I have not been able to open "recent posts" for months now, at least.

Over time, it got increasingly worse for me. Sometimes opening, sometimes GOG bear, increasingly GOG bear...

Sometimes it took a few reloads of that page and then the list came up, but nowadays it never does.

What changed over time? The amount of games I own in GOG (hence, how many game subforums I'm subscribed to), and the number of messages I've written.

So I presume it is related to either or both of the above. It doesn't seem to be at least directly related to the overall userbase of the forum, as with a new fresh GOG account, there is no timeout (yes I tried it in the past...).

+1
And now the reply icon in the forum is broken for me again. The permanent purple dot is bad enough, the forum replies page being broken is bad enough, but if even that icon does not appear to indicate a reply the forum becomes almost unusable. Come on GOG.
it looks more like a literal edit to add [forum game] to the thread more than anything else. Kinda reminds me of craiglists adeverts lol
