Ancient-Red-Dragon: I've seen many threads on youtube comments section wherein the OP of the thread is a bot who says something like: "I'm so glad I invested in crypto right now before it's too late!"

...and then another bunch of bots reply to the thread, and pretend like they are having a conversation with the OP...even though really, they are all just copy & pasting their pre-scripted responses into the thread.
To what purpose? It gains them nothing.... Well the crypto one would be to try and boost the value/saturation/usage of it, but the lost iphone doesn't do anything. It's like saying you had a really good spaghetti but need to go to the store tomorrow to get more sauce... it doesn't do anything ...

Ancient-Red-Dragon: Surely such technology of bot-created fake conversations will be coming to GOG forums soon, as it's already been on youtube for many months, at least.

This thread might be one of the first iterations of that coming to GOG forums.
It could be bots, or it could just be alts getting in their forum participation so they can enter giveaways in the future.

As I said above, it could be user controlled alts trying to get enough posts to be counted as ''active on the forum'' for GAs. If it is bots, it could be that the account that was actually supposed to post the ad part didn't / couldn't post it and what we see is just the first part of the scripted conversation.

Shadowstalker16: Imagine when the forum participation requirement in giveaways is too hard to do so you make a thread just for all your alts to participate in.

Ancient-Red-Dragon: I think it's bots doing it.

I've seen many threads on youtube comments section wherein the OP of the thread is a bot who says something like: "I'm so glad I invested in crypto right now before it's too late!"

...and then another bunch of bots reply to the thread, and pretend like they are having a conversation with the OP...even though really, they are all just copy & pasting their pre-scripted responses into the thread.

And they put in a few links to the shady websites that they are trying to shill for into their replies, whilst trying to fool their readers into thinking that the links are coming out as part of an organic natural conversation that just occurred by happenstance (just like the post from user "injecajq78" does in this very thread...although that post is more blatantly obvious than are the examples which I'm talking about; in other words, it is possible for bots to emulate real people a lot more convincingly than "injecajq78" is doing here).

And no doubt that whole process is also totally automatic once the bot maker turns his bots on.

Surely such technology of bot-created fake conversations will be coming to GOG forums soon, as it's already been on youtube for many months, at least.

This thread might be one of the first iterations of that coming to GOG forums.

crypto is so good it only needs constant advertising to stay afloat

Maybe. Or maybe it's fishing for posts that it could use to give to the other bots, so you start with a starter conversation, then grab 20-30 posts after for the bots to 'converse' with and since it was humans talking it will be totally normal... at least until someone talks to them and they don't reply properly. I thought this over last night...

So maybe we need to make gog references and point to GoG game store pages so if it's posted on YT comments later it's more obviously a GoG thread conversation and not a natural YT occurence?

I didn't say they could be connected. Dragon didn't say so either, just that he sees threads of a similar nature / pattern in youtube comments. I doubt someone would go to the extent of programming bots to post threads and harvest replies to post in other threads when they could easily copy and paste basic questions and answers between bots.

Whatever is the case, the takeaway here is that unfortunately, you need to be careful about writing serious replies.

gramorganic: Hello there, I'm sorry to say very recent I've lost my iPhone with my papers is it any possible to find my phone, I've only Apple ID now. Any advice or suggestion appreciated.

Regards.
I think you can use the function "find the iPhone" which usually helps in such situations. I also hope that you have backed up your data from time to time because it is very important to do this. I have been in this situation many times and it helped a lot to keep important information from my phone.
Welcome to your first steps away from the corporate horror that is Apple. Unless you actually prefer style over substance, and will pay double for it. In which case, I have no sympathy.
