As for 32bit games on Catalina setup a dual-boot with an older version of MacOS or Windows, those are your best options currently.
Another piece of good news is that CrossOver has an Alpha for Catalina ; you can install a DOSBox based game directly into a CrossOver bottle as well as windows games. A lot of old windows games ran well on a fast Mac with CrossOver in Mojave. So I am hoping CrossOver gets a truly solid version going on 64-bit at some point.
And as mentioned; there is always boot camp if you are willing to dual boot for gaming.
