VHS had macrovision (I think) which stopped tape to tape copying without special hardware.

JKHSawyer: Movies was a lame idea from the very start. A waste of time and resources.

People come for games. New and old, DRM free, nicely packaged. That's it.
I would come here for the movies if GOG offered DRM movies or shows that I wanted. GOG needed something at the start to give it a real kickstart.
