I've been thinking about this for some time now, ever since this unfortunate Devotion event, which drove many away from GoG or at least has many defer any purchase for an indeterminate amount of time. There are things that can be done to restore faith, and, what's more important, the experience of being a customer.

The first step is forwarding suggestions, wishes, critique and the occasional praise to the responsible teams. A dedicated moderator should also report back once they know whether something has been accepted or for whatever reason had to be turned down. When an idea has been approved upon a general timeline should be given. When it can't be realized a general notice will suffice.

This would make the whole process more transparent to us which to me is very important. So, here is a first suggestion to see how this goes.

Please improve the Community Wishlist
Many times a game has been wished for not once but 20 to 30 times. Silent Hill is a very good example for this. Counting votes spread over several wishes it amounts to a total of well over 30.000.

Here are some things that can be done to improve it and make it easier for you guys to identify games most wished for.

When deciding to add a wish the first step should be to enter a game's name into a search mask. In case a positive result has been returned it should be possible to vote for it.

Since there are already many games listed more than once, merge corresponding wishes and tally the votes, which should make the overall list shorter.

Add a list of games which aren't going to be or haven't been approved and refer someone about to make a wish to it as well.

Merge same games being wished and already given votes.

Implement a monthly or quarterly list of games most wished for and set a goal-number of votes a game must reach in order to be taken into consideration.

I hope a moderator will indeed read this and forward this and any further suggestions by others either in here or in their own topics. This would be a very good first step to regain what your company needs most right now: Trust of customers in the fact that you are listening to customer's wishes and suggestions and are willing to do your utmost to obey them.

You can report games on the wishlist as duplicates, if they're on the list more than once. Click Options and then Duplicate.

There's about as much chance of getting GOG to improve the wishlist as there is getting them to listen to anyone on the forum.

GOG doesn't care about either of these things.

Every vote eventually counts which is why the suggestion to merge duplicate entries was made. Many taking their time to cast a vote also add their opinion, which, in case of hundreds of votes, would be lost. I don't like that idea. :-)
You know for sure that the votes from the duplicates aren't added to the first entry?

This is plain obvious but no reason why I - or others - shouldn't keep trying. There are many reasons for GOG to listen, to find a way to reconnect to their community and customers, as they did in 2017. Remember this

When there is a problem with communication which should go both ways this can be sorted out and be worked on from there. Not listening and not acting is no option for GoG. At least this lesson should have sank in to them by now.

That's actually their SOP(standard operating procedure)...they let people complain about GOG DLer for 7+ months now with not much reply back.

Still, I commend you having an optimistic outlook. :)
I agree, but I doubt GOG will ever do anything since the Community Wishlist has never left the beta status since its creation.
