OK, I AM DOING THAT NOW. IT SEEMS THE VERSION I AM USING HAS AN ALL CAPS BUG :P.

you could always disable and re-enable the keyboard at the driver level or physically to turn it into all lowercase letters. of course this would result in posts in all lowercase.... assuming the shift button is broken, too, since shift=caps will result in lowercase.

There's a "My caps, my choice" joke in there somewhere, but I'll just... hold on, the problem fixed itself! It looks like the problem was IN MY HEAD ALL ALONG! Maybe if I slam it harder against the tabletop I can get that caps lock nerve ending sorted.
