Darvond: And hell, backup tools are dead simple these days. Grsync or any number is "Point at folder A", pick settings, "Point at Folder B", and go.
They can be that simple. Although they were before too to a degree, the problem being the size of the media (
like backup to floppy disk), or setting up the tool to collect the data you want to keep.
I made a few scripts, one that on a laptop takes regular snapshots (
every 6 hours, though only 1 a day so the last one is kept); then with a script it looks at the snapshots and deletes unchanged files, turning form full to incremental. I'm sure there's a lot more i could do, but copying or burning the right files is pretty easy...
