I want to play Noctropolis!

I often use my username as my nickname, which originates from Damien in the classic horror movie series Omen. I am very much into horror movies and Damien is a character I loved since my childhood.

As for one of my favorite adventure games, I will mentions something more overlooked rather than obvious choices like Sanitarium. The game I'm talking about is Goosebumps: Escape from Horrorland. I used to love the horror themed teens tv show and had a very enjoyable time playing the game back in the day. It feels very much like the tv show, the graphics are loveable (with FMV support) and the gameplay is quite good. Unfortunately, the game is also very hard to find so I'm trying raise awareness as much as I can, hoping one day it will be released here!
I woke up this morning and I couldn't shake that odd feeling I have been visited by a strange entity in my dreams.
I don't know what his intentions were but I knew I had to visit this thread to find some peace of mind...

I want to play Noctropolis!

I came up with my nickname, Ren Kalan, trying to name my character on the first Star Wars Knights: of the Old Republic game back in 2003. I loved that game so much that I continued using that nick in various forums and it kind of stuck with me. It actually comes from my wife's maiden name, Ren(a) Kalan(tzaki).

My favorite adventure game is Riven, the sequel to Myst. Sequels are a notoriously difficult thing to pull off, and Riven is an example of an unequivocal success. It took Myst‘s design and built upon it rather than simply aping it, creating a completely fresh take on the existing concept. Beyond the continued storyline and identical control scheme, there is practically no resemblance between the two. It isn’t so much Myst II as it is Myst 2.0– a second release which corrects the shortcomings of an earlier version. Riven is a masterpiece!
You are a stranger that happened upon a weird book - a linking book - that has the ability to link you to different worlds (or Ages) that someone else has written. So now you try and help Atrus free his imprisoned wife, Catherine, from one of those worlds.
What amazes me is the pure sense of exploring an amazingly detailed world, so realistic it doesn't feel like you are playing a game. The story is rich, the puzzles are so satisfying and organic and the sound and music so atmospheric. Most of all Riven feels like the adventure you always wanted to live.
one final bump!
