Okay also DuckDuckGo still gets it's results from Google... So it kinda defeats the purpose.

(At least for me, the page that comes up when following the link indicates that DuckDuckGo does not get its results from Google.)

Matewis: Darkwood is a horror survival game, and an exquisite one at that, but I'm not sure if can be considered apocalyptic. I suppose it kind of is, depending on how you define it.
Darkwood is one of my favourite games of all times.
Technically it is not post apocalyptic because the society has not collapsed, but you are cut out of it by the impenetrable wood and what remains inside isn't really that different from post-apocalypse.
Still, I think it qualifies.

Miasmata can also qualify, but... it's not really top notch.

Still the best environmental story telling I've ever seen in a game. The depth to the world took me completely by surprise. It really is excellent :)

I'm not sure I'd day that inside the wood it isn't that different from post-apocalypse. It shares elements sure, but the encroaching insanity, that is hopelessly incomprehensible, I feel makes for a completely different vibe.
