Warloch_Ahead: Interplay haven't been relevant in
years. It's basically a legacy name at this point, famous because other publishers took over their IPs and never stripped out the logos (not that I'm advocating that). According to Wikipedia, one of their last games is "an NFT trading game". I wouldn't be surprised if it's just a skeleton crew staffed strictly by people who applied and got a job.
Yes, of course, Interplay is just a trademark company with some old assets from original Interplay. I still can't comrehend how they created a situation which lead their key founding members like Brian Fargo to go away. Yes, I know they needed money and IPO in 1998 lead to buyout by Titus Software but still, very odd.
Yet somehow they produced more games since 2010. Latest game would be a delayed remake Kingpin: Reloaded contracted to 3D Realms and before that they re-released updated Dark Alliance 1 & 2 games.
I mean I expected some kind of control over their primary ip like Earthworm Jim. It's not Descent which they could license to some company and forget. Afterall they invested in Eartworm Jim series reboot, it would be important to have a decent to suplement the financial outcome.
NFT trading - oh yeah, it's a plague but I think it's cured itself pretty fast.
And yes, it's pretty much a skeleton crew to maintain some basic operations plus contracted workers whenever a new game project arrives. Or so it seems.
