toxicTom: Played Pinball Dreams and Pinball Fantasies to death on the Amiga...
Later on the PC Psycho Pinball was my favourite.
How was the ball physics of Pinball Dreams on the Amiga ? Because on the PC version, it is really... weird.
Are we pining for more pinball games here on GOG?

It was okay, for the time. But I got the same feeling with the PC version here, and also the tables look... skewed. Maybe something about the aspect ratio is wrong.

I think PAL Amigas (and PB/PF are by Illusion from Sweden) used 320x256 screen resolution, and the DOS version uses 320x200. That's quite a difference.

If we have don't have the balls, it'll never happen...

I'm just surprised it took this long for a "Tommy" reference to make it in here, and that is where that gif is from.
Pinball Arcade is also briliant. They are recreations of actual pin ball machined. I spent 100s of hours playing it on my phone and I understand the PC version is just the same though I haven't tried it myself.

LongitudinalThrust: I'm hoping to find a couple pinball themed games for PC that have an interesting spin on the pinball genre. Preferably games that take advantage of the fact they're a video game and aren't aiming to be straight up table simulators.

The pinball games I've seen on GOG look a little heavy on the simulator side for me. Something similar to the Crush Pinball series is what I'm looking for, but none of those are for PC (without emulation at least).

Any of you virtual pinball enthusiasts have some recommendations?
I would suggest possibly Rollers of the Realm. It was decent, though shortish. Worth getting on sale though I think.

Another possible one which is still in early access is Wicked Pinball. Looks pretty good so far, but a bit on the pricey side.

My all time favorite PC pinball game is Crystal Caliburn, which may still be available for purchase/download from littlewingpinball.com. Unfortunately, you will need an XP machine to run it.
