stevhl: Hi paladin181! Newbie here with some questions. Is it possible to run any original homebrew PS1 games using the Epsxe? I have never heard about that emulator. To be more specific I am talking about playing legal games.
Mind most PS1 emulators require system files (aka BIOS) you need to get from a console you actually own. I can confirm there are working PS1 BIOS in the PS1, PS2, PS3 and PSP. I did a quick look and I couldn't find any PS1 BIOS in the PS Vita. And I can't check the PS4 or the PS1 Mini since I don't own them.

Some emulators also allow high level emulation (HLE), which makes it possible to play PS1 games without BIOS, but mind HLE can cause some bugs not present in emulation using the original system files.
